REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Sharon Hoffmeister 4/11/2019 9:32 AMAlthough my family prides itself on effectively using all prepared food (imaginative leftover creations) but have noticed the amount of staples that are present that have exceeded their expiration/use by dates. We are taking a harder look at these its and the amounts were are purchasing beyond what we are able to reasonable use and looking for alternatives to cut down on waste. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and GirlsWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Sharon Hoffmeister 4/11/2019 9:29 AMSome of the barriers that exist continue to be transportation; having safe, affordable daycare for children and the ability to make a living wage without having to take on multiple jobs which ends up taking more time away from family.
