Regenerative agriculture seems like a great way to combat global warming, since it actively sequesters carbon back into the soil. Much like Silvopasture farming, regenerative agriculture also promotes biodiversity, which is beneficial to the environment in multiple, sometimes surprising ways.

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I think the first thing that contributes to the high rates of meat in American diets is the nature of Capitalism. Capitalism seeks to find and exploit human desires, and the desire for foods high in fat and protein are built into the human psyche. Much of the food that makes up the American meat diet are high in fats, and even those meats that are lower fat (such as chicken) are often cooked in such a way to increase the fat (deep fried) or are served with high fat foods such as french fries.

    Food Learn More about Silvopasture
Had you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

I hadn't heard of Silvopasture before this activity. The practice of using trees and forage alongside pasture raised meat and dairy animals seems like a really intuitive idea. Any system that increases the amount of biodiversity in a given system seems like a good idea. I also feel like any way to increase the number of trees in the world can't help but be a good thing.
