Women and Girls Support Women-Owned Businesses
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?

My wife and I are working to improve our support of the local community by, for example, shopping at local grocers rather than large chains. We have also learned of several restaurants near us owned by women. We will certainly start visiting them more.

I learned that much of the American diet is based on corn and so many derivatives of corn. Wow - "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan!

    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I am not sure what contributes to North Americans eating more meat than other countries. I wonder if this is due to the fairly rapid shift post-war from rural/agrarian lifestyles to urban/industrial lifestyles without changing expectations surrounding caloric needs, and the demands of a blooming population, while retaining an overwhelming nostalgia for the food of the previous lifestyle. Maybe? I don't know.

Great question. I need to learn more!
