    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

Does anybody think that this challenge helped save animals? I think I'm going to change it to two meatless meals a day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

Has anyone else done this challenge? It helps me keep track of all the food that I have throw  out after a meal. I would rather use my money on something  else and useful like clothes, or save the money for bills or college. As I have been thinking and keeping track of all the food that I have wasted, it turns out that you throw one part of every meal you eat. Imagine how much food is thrown out all over the world if one person throws out 240 lbs? I've been thinking about one particular solution that could actually work. Every time someone wants to throw food out, ask if anyone else wants the food you want to throw away. If nobody wants it put it in a bowl, wrap it with foil, and save it for later.

Great ideas Ada.  I am also doing this challenge. If I have extra food at the end of a meal, I save it for lunch the next day.  It is amazing that we waste 240 pounds a year!

It's been hard but I have managed to eat 1 meatless meal everyday. Think of all the animals that would be saved if our whole team did this challenge!

I always have my meatless meals either during breakfast or lunch. That's the best time for me and it works perfectly!😀

I have been doing this too, Ada!  I found it easiest to have the meatless meal at breakfast time.  What is working for you?

I would love to hear what you learned, Ada.  Do you have some ideas on how we can share our learnings?

I started out with learning about silvopasture for about 8 minutes, and I found out a lot about the topic. I just don't understand how you complete a challenge.
