Chris Kane 4/24/2019 1:39 AMThis has been a wonderful experience for me. Not only have I learned so much, I've enjoyed being the Captain of our team. While the final points haven't been tallied yet, I'm so happy that our team is 3rd in the State of Florida and 221st overall! That's a huge achievement for such a small team. I want to thank NWEI for another outstanding challenge! -

REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Share Bioplastic Disposal TipsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Chris Kane 4/15/2019 9:33 AMI'm sorry to say that the majority of people I run into really don't have the time or inclination to care about what they're doing to the planet. I learned long ago to stop trying to convince them otherwise. Now I lead by example. I've found that many more people respond in a positive way to that and will engage me in conversation. There's not a day that goes by that I don't see in the news or see with my own eyes, another clear example of how we're destroying the planet. I feel so incredibly sorry for my grandchildren and their children because the world I grew up in will not be their reality. The best I can do is keep fighting the fight. I love this planet and it makes me very sad to see what we've done to it. -
Chris Kane 4/15/2019 4:52 AMThings are going well; worked in the garden a long time yesterday. That helps me find clarity when things are on my mind. Everyone should be able to play in the dirt, regardless of their age! -
Chris Kane 4/14/2019 3:57 AMI had a great conversation with someone yesterday and told them all about this challenge and about nwei and our discussion course and she's interested in getting more info from me! i do tend to talk about all this with folks i run into; this year has been so much fun so far.
