REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationDiversifying our energy supply and improving public health are just two benefits of renewable energy. What other motivators inspire you to consider installing a solar water heater in your home?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationHow does advocating for rooftop solar connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?
Lacey Kaufman 4/23/2019 2:23 PMThe use of solar energy is a great way to conserve our resources, and is especially smart here in Colorado where we get so much sun. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Lacey Kaufman 4/23/2019 2:22 PMI think it's based on the meat industry here. Raising livestock has been big business in North America for a very long time. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseAre bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?
Lacey Kaufman 4/23/2019 2:19 PMYes, I've seen bamboo furniture and flooring available in my community. -
Lacey Kaufman 4/23/2019 2:17 PMIt's almost over! Get those points, TS! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Lacey Kaufman 4/23/2019 2:17 PMWhen I take public transportation or walk I engage with my community more. I'm more aware of the people and activities around me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?
Lacey Kaufman 4/22/2019 2:28 PMBy starting the meetings on time, having a preset agenda, limiting discussions outside of the agenda topics, making sure everyone is respectful in the meeting, and ending the meeting on time or early. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Lacey Kaufman 4/22/2019 2:27 PMThe farming of palm for palm oil is a huge part of deforestation. Palm oil is an additive in a lot of foods, so eating fewer of those (or none at all) helps decrease my negative impact. -
