REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Anna Kopitov 4/24/2019 8:39 AMI didn't realize coffee lead to deforestation so know I make an effort to purchase shade-grown, bird friendly coffee. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Anna Kopitov 4/24/2019 8:38 AM
Planting trees in my yard provides immeasurable benefits to my mental, physical and spiritual health. Simply observing the flowering and growth year to year as well as the wildlife that use this resource is relaxing and elicits a smile. Powerful attitude adjuster. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Public TransitHow has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Anna Kopitov 4/24/2019 8:35 AMIn addition to reducing my environmental impact to the planet, access to public transportation to commute to work has greatly reduced my stress level. I think that in turn further reduces my energy consumption indirectly. For example, my diet is healthier and I exercise more. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Anna Kopitov 4/23/2019 8:26 AMSpent the weekend in riverside parks and noticed the pathways created through various habitats as well as the interpretive signs. This particular park also had overnight camping in the form of yurts which was a peaceful addition to the forest understory as it blended very well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Anna Kopitov 4/23/2019 8:22 AMI think the cattle and other livestock lobbies certainly contribute to people eating more meat than other countries - as well as marketing popularity of fast food. -
