In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

There is a lot of meat available, we have money to spend on it, and it is relatively cheap, compared to other countries.  Americans have always valued meat, and the ability to serve it demonstrates prosperity and status.

Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

Fresh and local.  I am fortunate to live near local farmers who have stands and CSAs for the community. I can support them with my purchases and know where my food is coming from.
