Prior to the challenge, I was serious about recycling and composting. Now I am now much more focused on using resources more efficiently and producing less waste from the start. Ms. Collins, thank you for bringing this challenge to the Rhinebeck community!

Started using our new compost bin today. I am going to try to be more consistent about spinning it and making sure it has enough moisture. I was pretty neglectful of the last bin! After I had dumped in the food scraps, I almost never checked to make sure it had the right conditions to turn into actual compost. And isn't creating compost the point?
