My eco-challenge is going really well and it's super cool to see the impact it has on the environment
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

it is the culture of availabilty and access that we live in. We are also the biggest consumers and this consumer culture is what allows for these north american values to be what they are
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport
List some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

I try and recycle all the plastics i do consume and throw them in the recyclables bins at my apartments and whenever i see peoples plastics on the ground in my parking lot i always put them in recyclables.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I use about 2 or three plastic water bottles from the grocery store everyday and today i have only used my camelbak and water fountains to consume my water today.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

This would be healthier and help me have portion control and maybe fit back into my jeans again. This would help me on my food journey of trying to be healthier as well as leaving more food for people who actually need it
