Reflection QuestionMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
mackenzie massarone 4/24/2019 12:59 PMI can make toys for myself and pretty things for my mom out of old boxes and bottles, and maybe even make something for the plants i planted yesterday, and for my cat! -
Reflection QuestionFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
mackenzie massarone 4/24/2019 12:57 PMEating more meat than anyone else make us, us! I think it also makes us tougher and stronger. 222.2 pounds of meat a year. Poor animals. -
Reflection QuestionLand Use Learn about Temperate ForestsAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
mackenzie massarone 4/24/2019 12:54 PMMany thing are happening that hurt the environment, but we are causing them. Its time we took a stand and stopped it. I hope that we can realise our mistakes as humans and its overwhelming to do so but its something that we have to do. -
Reflection QuestionTransport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric VehicleReducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?
mackenzie massarone 4/24/2019 12:50 PMIf I buy an electric vehicle when I get older, it might get rid of many exhaust fumes in the air and save the environment. -
Reflection QuestionFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
