Any transit choice aside from solo driving enhances community connectivity.  Public transit increases connection with others in your city. Walking or biking increases connection with your environment and cityscape.   Each of these modes offer chances to increase community resilience through increased connectivity.

Subsidized grain production needs to be sold to someone.  Livestock are eager consumers.

Fresh. There's no comparison to the flavor and quality of produce harvested locally.

    Food Zero-waste Cooking
How are environmental issues like black carbon and other emissions from cooking fires or rudimentary cookstoves also human health and social justice issues? Why do these issues matter to you?

Regions using rudimentary cookstoves are challenged by lack of access to the resources that we have in the developed world.  The resource disparity is due to the transfer of wealth from the developing world to the developed world.  Our health is improved at the expense of the health of the developing world.  Our worlds are linked and we have a responsibility to ensure a base level of access to the regions being exploited
