Amanda Norseth 4/10/2019 3:51 PMI received this update today:
Of the 542 organizations participating thus far, VMMC is currently in 1st place for points earned (39,615) and most participants (457)!
I believe the easiest of the 88 challenges available on the site are the quick learning opportunities provided right through the Learn More buttons. Each of the challenge categories offers learning and point-scoring opportunities accomplished easily by clicking and reading. One example of this, under Food, is reading about sell by, use by, and best by dates.
Please consider checking in daily via the dashboard button on the EcoChallenge site. That act alone will earn you, and us, points. So far VMMC is in first place nationally for number of participants and number of total points earned!
Did you know that- You can recruit anyone to your team, including VM business partners, contractors, staff from other departments, and family members- Recruiting team members earns you 5 or 10 points for each one- Adding, renaming and switching teams are all allowed until April 24th- Some teams are really having fun with team titles, such as Spit Happens, Renal Recyclers, planet protectORs, Rehab This, slOBS, We got Rhythm, Dirty Shoes, Food Fighters, and We Don’t Just Bond, We Glucose- The VM Anesthesiology team just surpassed the HR Climate Coolers for having the most members (42)
Tell me what you think of this staff engagement experiment of ours. Are you finding the EcoChallenge too challenging? Inspiring? What have you learned? What do you like or dislike? Please share your candid impressions with me. Or let me know how I can help you get more out of this.
Please send any feedback to John at [email protected]
