    Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

I would rather use that money to help pay off my student loans, but I feel as if I'm not wasteful with my food. When I cook I make sure that I make the right amount of what I will eat. There are people that go hungry everyday all around the world, that thought helps me to avoid throwing out food and when I do I feel guilty.
