    I was going to go on a trip to my aunts house and in order to do it I was going to fly, but after this project I changed my mind and drove to their house.

      How far a trip is this?  At what distance does it make more sense you think to fly vs. drive?  There are people promoting the development of high speed rail systems (even in Vermont) to provide a third alternative to just flying and driving.   Read about it here at AllEarth Rail Vermont.
