  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transport Test Drive an Electric Bike
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Private vehicles account for 60% of trips of a mile or less. Do you often drive short distances instead of biking or walking? If so, how might incorporating an electric bike into your lifestyle help you make more climate-friendly choices?

I often just walk or take public transportation instead of driving.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Advocate For Greener Vehicles
How does advocating for green vehicles in your community connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to fuel-efficient vehicles?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/24/2019 8:18 AM
If everyone is using more fuel efficient vehicles, that extra money spent on gas can be spent on building infrastructure.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/23/2019 7:08 AM
The biggest motivator for me is the cost efficiency.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transport Research and Advocate for High-Speed Rail
What are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety. What would need to change for you to regularly choose more climate-friendly options?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/23/2019 7:07 AM
The biggest influence is convenience. If I made more money I would definitely choose a more efficient car.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/23/2019 7:06 AM
By telling people how much more efficient public transportation is compared to single rider cars.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Stay on the Ground
What was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/23/2019 7:06 AM
Restructuring a trip to avoid more air travel was easy by just taking the train.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/11/2019 7:25 AM
I'd use it to pay off my student loans or my parents mortgage.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Support Nutrient Management
How does environmental quality influence your sense of community?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/11/2019 7:24 AM
It increases the sense of community since location is an integral part of community.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/11/2019 7:24 AM
The most interesting aspect was the large amount of solutions, making it almost irresponsible not to try and make things better.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Learn More about Regenerative Agriculture
Clean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. What are some other reasons?

    Ashen Quiambao's avatar
    Ashen Quiambao 4/10/2019 8:07 AM
Another big reason would be to give future generations an equal or better quality of life that we had.
