Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Private vehicles account for 60% of trips of a mile or less. Do you often drive short distances instead of biking or walking? If so, how might incorporating an electric bike into your lifestyle help you make more climate-friendly choices?

I usually always walk or take public transportation places, but I think taking the step up to cycling with a regular bike or an electric bike will be an amazing addition to my routine - something I will feel good about literally and mentally!

Public transportation still emits GHG's, so does taking a Lyft places, but walking and biking are next to zero.

I am excited to become a better biker (I am totally afraid because Seattle is a dangerous city for bikers) but I think over time I will gain the confidence to cycle more and more throughout the year! :)

Jasmine,  I'm sure you will be fine riding your bike. I have been commuting by bike in Melbourne, Australia for many years.  About 4 years ago I decided to start riding  (2 miles) to the local shops. Not a problem. Sometimes it can actually be quicker than driving a car because you can lock up your bike in front of the shops instead of walking ten minutes to a car park

I live in NYC and it's the same thing for me! I'd love to bike, but am nervous doing so with so much traffic and cars.
