REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Contact your Elected OfficialsDo you have any personal connections to a farm or farmland? If so, what are they? What feelings are evoked for you when thinking about declining farmland?
Reyhan Sanchez 4/03/2019 8:47 AMNo but I feel that this is important since we need to have organic foods to eat.-
Reyhan Sanchez 4/03/2019 8:25 PMI totally agree since eating healthy foods increases our health and we become stronger individuals. My mom and I always get organic products when we are shopping at a supermarket. I prefer not eating to much pork like i'll eat it every so often but not a lot since pigs aren't the cleanest animals and that we shouldn't be killing innocent animals. -
Leola Specht 4/03/2019 8:54 AMYes -- I participate in my local CSA where fresh produce is delivered from local farms every week from June-October. Just like the farmers market, the produce is so fresh and delicious. I get to see the farmers frequently when the bring the produce down. Such happy feelings when I get the produce, and sad feelings (I miss it so much!) when the season is over. Thank goodness for Winter Farmer's Markets to hold me over :)

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Choose Better Wood ProductsBeyond carbon sequestration, what other benefits do forests offer you personally?
Reyhan Sanchez 4/02/2019 4:46 PMIt can be shade it the summer and also help by taking carbon dioxide and making a chemical change to oxygen. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Reyhan Sanchez 4/02/2019 4:42 PMIt was fairly easy for me to change my diet since I was used to eating different foods. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
Reyhan Sanchez 4/02/2019 3:20 PMYou don't have to waste the extras since there is probably not going to be any extras.
