  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

It's not just about the money for me. It's about redistributing food so everyone has enough to eat. Perhaps some of the money I save could go toward that. I will say that keeping this log has made me more aware of what's in my refrigerator, and has motivated me to use it up, throw the last bit of broccoli into the pasta dish, etc.

Nancy - - Isn't it interesting to keep a log of your actions? I find it humbling and inspiring. Sometimes it just takes a nudge to shift a behavior. Pasta is one of my favorite dishes for cleaning out the fridge! Have a great week. Cheers!
