Land Use Learn about Temperate Forests
As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

When I am doing all of this research it does get quite overwhelming. Learning about how the forests are being destroyed and how all of the animals are losing their homes and therefore dying it is very depressing. I do feel hopeful when I start hearing about all of the solutions. The best thing is when I can start doing/working on the solutions. It feels amazing to be doing my part to help.

How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

It is very useful to have a recycling at your house, school, work or wherever you spend a lot of time at. This helps to prevent plastic, and other recyclable material.

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

North Americans eat a ton of meat for multiple reasons. One main reason that we do is because we have access to land, and we can afford the meat in the first place. I am a vegetarian and I have been for 6 months now. It feels great to know that I am doing my part to help dissolve the carbon footprint and greenhouse gasses.
