REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Katelin Selby 4/23/2019 2:27 PMMany items that I eat/use regularly contain palm oil, which is rarely harvested without negative impacts on the environment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Katelin Selby 4/23/2019 2:23 PMI think North Americans eat more meat than other countries because of habit and availability. When I was taught how to plan a meal, some form of meat was always essential. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Katelin Selby 4/23/2019 2:21 PMI would rather used $1,500 a year for saving for long-term goals or travelling to new places.
