not sure why it only listed 2 local meals, but we source at least 50% of most of our meals locally.  So easy here in the Hudson Valley- join a CSA, visit a farmer's market, or just purchase food from the "locally grown" section of any of our supermarkets. This is also a commitment  to eat more fresh foods.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

Eating local food supports our neighbors, means we eat fresher and in season food and also helps reduce our carbon footprint

this also keeps our money in our local economy - the profits are not being physically removed and controlled by others to invest elsewhere!
