  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

I hate to see food wasted. Some farmers do not make as much money as they should on a farm and work very hard to produce food, and I would like to strive to minimize my waste. Knowing how much time and energy is put into getting the food from a farm to my house

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I feel as if it is in american culture to eat meat in almost every meal. We have an abundance of meat, so we have no need to not eat it in every meal. This culture I feel is also part of other north american countries. This shows that we value eating rich meaty meals in an everyday.

How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

I can advocate for solar panels on top of buses to use less gas, and install trashcans and recycling bins at every bus stop to minimize waste. This will not affect human needs negatively in any way.
