Reflection QuestionElectricity Generation Watch a Video about Methane DigestersWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Melanie Stewart 4/17/2019 6:14 AMLearning about methane digesters was very interesting. Methane is worse the carbon dioxide and while burning breaks it down it was still confusing to me that this was categorized as a solution. Now I see that we are capturing methane that would be produced anyway, burning it so it doesn't go into the atmosphere, and this reduces the use other fossil fuels, thereby reducing emissions. -
Reflection QuestionFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Melanie Stewart 4/11/2019 5:31 AMSo much food is wasted for no good reason! Understanding the difference between "use by", "sell by" and "best by" dates can help reduce that! That said, not all of us use certain things (like eggs) at the same pace, so it would be nice if there was some kind of standard...
