  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

Using less gasoline- thus becoming less dependent on fossil fuels.  By the way, my family has 2 hybrid vehicles!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

Traditionally dinner meals have revolved around the meat being served.  It is hard to break out of that pattern.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

Waste of energy, could be repurposed to feed others in need
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

By starting at home.  We have added solar panels to our home and it has been a win-win.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Advocate for Solar Installation
How does advocating for rooftop solar connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?

By being less dependent on poisonous energy sources.  Currently I am participating in a group that is campaigning to add solar panels to Red Hook Central School District buildings.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

Potentially switching over to using Geothermal to heat and cool my home.  At this point it is cost prohibitive, but I will keep looking for ways to make it more affordable.
