  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use
How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?

It was not that difficult to change my diet because I had previously known about palm oil and the damage to the environment that is caused by it. Because of this I already tried to stay away from these products, therefore the switch was not that difficult.

How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

Many assume that they all mean the same thing when they actually have very different meanings. "Use-by" on a product is so consumers know when the product should be eaten. "Sell-by" on a product is so retailers selling the product know when to sell the item or to remove it from shelves.  "Best-by" is an ideal date to consume a product. Knowing the difference between these three labels will help consumers make better decisions when purchasing food.
