Reflection QuestionFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
Amanda Tsuetaki 4/04/2019 3:57 PMEating smaller plates is so important because you will be benefiting our environment but also it is better for our health as humans to not overeat. This will give us major health benefits and reduce the risk of harming yourself. Eating smaller portions is a great first step in creating a more eco-friendly world!-

Reflection QuestionTransport Explore Other Transport SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Amanda Tsuetaki 4/04/2019 3:52 PMI found out how many vast ways there are to gain transport in a more eco-efficient way! I think the up and coming electric vehicle industry can lead the way to a healthier environment! I hope to get an electric car to reduce my carbon emissions. -
Amanda Tsuetaki 3/11/2019 6:00 PMHi y'all! I am so excited to start Ecochallenge at Carrboro High School. We have about 3 weeks till the Ecochallenge starts, so we should start recruiting peers, teachers, and friends to our team! -
Reflection QuestionMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Amanda Tsuetaki 3/11/2019 5:55 PMI have focused on bringing a reusable water bottle to school! My Nalgene has become my go to for all my water needs. If I were to use single use water bottles that would be 3 a day, so I am glad I switched! I also enjoy repurposing clothes, specifically my brother's. I have stopped using fast fashion brands which creates many problems for the environment. I use reusable bags when shopping for grocery's and I love shopping at my local farmers market and grocery store! Incorporating these R's in my life has become routine and I love working to create a greener community.
