  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Women and Girls Research Barriers to Participation and Representation
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

    Dasha Tunnell 4/24/2019 6:03 AM
Not necessarily in mine but the documentary I watched showed that in India woman have to drop out of school because of manstration and are shamed and misunderstood for something they can’t control.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Use Learn about Local Indigenous Practices
What did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?

    Dasha Tunnell's avatar
    Dasha Tunnell 4/24/2019 6:01 AM
What I learned I don’t think I can apply to my life but I learned about all the routs and places were tribes would meet and talk. I also learned that many of the routs and highways we have now are over the routs. And paths of the native Americans
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

    Dasha Tunnell's avatar
    Dasha Tunnell 4/09/2019 11:01 AM
Water and fertilizer really motivates me to compost more because if you really think about it your wasting fertilizer that could feed hundreds of plants and trees. Also people waste water that could be used to feed people that need water.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Action Track: Social Justice Donate
How are environmental issues like black carbon and other emissions from cooking fires or rudimentary cookstoves also human health and social justice issues? Why do these issues matter to you?

    Dasha Tunnell's avatar
    Dasha Tunnell 4/09/2019 10:42 AM
These issues matter a lot not only to me but to many of my family members. Cooking with plastic is not only terrible for you and your lungs but it’s also horrible for the environment. Cooking with plastic can also cause global warming which is killing polar bears. Do you want to kill polar bears?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

    Dasha Tunnell's avatar
    Dasha Tunnell 4/09/2019 10:37 AM
I would rather use this money on foods that are compostible, or I could spend less money on food I don’t need and just think about what I will eat and what I will not.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

    Dasha Tunnell's avatar
    Dasha Tunnell 4/05/2019 6:41 AM
Maybe becasue people are not educated as much as as other people and that leads to them wanting to eat meat or eat to much meat, leading to over breading and greenhouse gasses and other ecosystem damaging things.
