REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 6:44 PMIt was a difficult thing to deal with, I just recently learned about the bad impacts on the environment because of palm oil today, so i've been trying to cut down on that. I've also struggled with eating no animal products, but in the end I realised, its ok if i mess up! Just keep going until you meet your goal.:) -
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 6:29 PMThe government has decided to outlaw plastic bags from grocery stores around the entire New York state! This way we will reduce the amount of plastic used from grocery shopping, and replace it with bringing your very own, reusable bags!:)-
Dorna Schroeter 4/24/2019 6:31 PMNot just grocery bags, but bags from CVS and any other shopping. The next step should be to eliminate produce bags! In the meantime, purchase EcoBag's wonderful produce bags!

Violet Turck 4/24/2019 6:20 PMI would like to learn if any more places i shop at are women-owned! I'm interested in the "Support Women Businesses" action. I've never thought about or looked into who owns the stores i shop at, and if they are a female or male. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and GirlsGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 6:14 PMI support two woman owned businesses in Rhinebeck, Land of Oz and Oblong Bookstore! -
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 1:18 PMI unfortunately did not meet ALL of my expectations, but I did do most of them, and am still very proud.:) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 1:17 PMAll the litter that goes into the ocean affects our water systems and all the animals that live in the oceans turtles, fish, etc. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 1:06 PM90% of our diets consume meat, by going vegetarian I have cut down on the animal products that I used to consume and feel much better.:) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 12:58 PMI enjoy going on daily walks because I get to take my dog, and I can also take my phone and play music. It's also very enjoyable when I have someone there I can talk to like my mom, a friend, etc. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Violet Turck 4/24/2019 12:54 PMI could incorporate more of the "R's" into my lifestyle by reducing the amount of plastic I use, I can also repurpose and reuse most of the plastic I do use! -
Violet Turck 4/13/2019 12:10 PMI unfortunately did not meet my expectations of going vegetarian today, despite that, I did recycle everything in my power!-
