Erika Villanueva 4/24/2019 9:20 AMSomething I noticed thought my ecochallange was that it was much easier to do my challenges but harder to remember to document them and check in everyday. There was days I would do everything, walk, take the bus and eat no meat but forget to check in because it was such a busy day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Erika Villanueva 4/24/2019 9:16 AMI think it might be more common for us to eat meat because it is so easily accessible to us. Other countries it might be more expensive to afford meat, so when it comes to us we eat it because we have it by just walking to a store. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Erika Villanueva 4/22/2019 9:52 AMI think fertilizer is a great reason to compost because it is something that is very useful and can help us not use other harmful things. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and GirlsWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? Share some of the learning with your friends!
Erika Villanueva 4/22/2019 9:48 AMI learned how much family planning can help the environment. Because not all people want children and some don't know what family planning is so all of that is important and should be taught. -

Erika Villanueva 4/17/2019 9:46 AMI work at a high school, today I sat in a small group of students and had a conversation with them about my goal of eating one non meat meals a day. They were really interested in this and did not know the harm raising animals has on the environment. This just shows how unknown this information is for a lot of people. -
Erika Villanueva 4/16/2019 10:20 PMI have started taking walks in the morning for at least 20 minutes a day and I have really enjoyed this. I think that after this month challenge I will continue to do this.
