I gave a microloan to a woman in El Salvador- a farmer- through the Kiva website. My loan was matched by a non-profit, so between us we fully funded the loan! It felt great to help a woman financially empower herself. I love knowing who my money is actually going to, and I wish her every success in her farming.

We need to drastically reduce the water we waste by timing our showers, washing dishes in a basin or full sink, and being less relaxed about water use at home, like when brushing our teeth or doing laundry.

I tried the toilet bank challenge. I have 2 toilets in my suite. I did one this morning, and I'll be placing a full water bottle in the tank of the second one this evening. That's twice the water savings!

Excited to start making a bigger impact on reducing carbon and creating a more just world, and to actually see the results! I think the measurable outcomes will make a big difference in motivating and encouraging me during the month and in the future.
