This challenge has helped me focus on more meatless meals and explore some energy and transport operations that I'd been meaning to look into. Always so much more to do, and I'll continue my efforts!

I’m being more diligent with turning off lights but we could definitely unplug appliances at wall more often. Could stick to only cold washing, even though I only use warm wash infrequently. I think our biggest cost is from heating bath water for our kid (though I share the bath too) and air conditioning in summer which we cannot be inside our...

Disappointed to learn that it's not feasible for us to have a micro wind turbine on our property - we're on the side of a hill with lots of trees and some houses around us, which means too much turbulence. There goes my birthday wish! But at least Drawdown has excellent resources explaining it, which made my research easy.

How's everyone's challenge going? I forgot to check in for a few days but kept up my one or two meatless meals a day... I also bought a flight which I feel guilty about and don't think carbon offsets are really a good enough solution, they're just a "feel-better" measure... And I researched electric vehicles - how I wish there were...

Sorry team I keep forgetting to login. I’m still doing my daily actions and ticked off a few more things this morning too.

Tonight I had a great conversation with my dear friend about local groups and organisations supporting women in our community and ways in which I might be able to support them. I’ll be doing more research

Through this Ecochallenge I have learned about the excellent support that Femme International are providing to young women in Kenya and around the world and I’m pleased to have donated two Femme kits to help two young women have an easier time of managing menstruation and hopefully not miss any of their education due to their period.

Another day, another meatless meal! Easy.

Lovely to be walking to do my chores up the street instead of driving, now that the temperature is bearable again. Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and wear a hat. Do you really need to drive to where you’re going? Can you walk, bike, use public transport instead? Carpool to the shops with a neighbour? Little things we do all add up 😃

Yay I've made a start on my #Drawdown Ecochallenge! So many great actions to choose from, but I'm keeping mine achievable and will try to ramp it up a little each day or week so that I build in a couple of better habits or lifestyle improvements :)
