I didn't drive for the two years I was in Peace Corps, except one time on vacation. It totally changed my thinking about driving. I grew up in a family with a big car history-- my great grandfather, grand father and uncle all ran Schoon Motors, a GM Dealership in western Minnesota. Driving cars is in my blood! But after two years of relying on public transit, I came home wanting other options and really appreciating the buses and trains in Denver. I didn't have a car the first year I lived back in Denver and it was so easy. It's just gotten better since (that was 10 years ago).

I could donate to vaccination programs here and around the world. Kids who are vaccinated wouldn't contract diseases that would keep them from going to school and thriving in life.

My extent of knowing what biomass technology was, was the scene in Back to the Future when Doc put a banana peel in Mr. Fusion. I'm not sure where I stand on biomass energy now, but at least I know more about it

My daily bus rides are awesome. I appreciate not only the impact on the environment of not being in a single occupancy vehicle, but also appreciate the time that I get back by being able to work on emails or read during my commute.
