    No wasted food during this Drawdown challenge.  I honestly think our $lost to wasted food annually is less than $50.

    It’s traditional & customary as well as being an outcome of our profligate consumption patterns I’m part of the baby boomer generation and I think this pattern can be broken by the millennial generation (my kids).

    My challenge has resulted in an almost entire change of habits around food. I began eating a vegetarian diet one week before the challenge started, and I think the new diet is permanent.

    I know that animal agriculture, and the fertilizers etc. that go to produce animal feed, is a huge contributor to water use and pollution.     I suspect that carbon footprint of a material is largely determined by the amount of processing that goes into making it. A river stone from a local source or a repurposed tire should account for less CO2 than plastics, which require oil/chemical refining and then synthesis into new material.
