April 22 at 10:50 AMI love that it's so easy to get to any part of the city using bike routes and bike lanes. On a recent trip to San Diego I was surprised at the poor state of their bike infrastructure and how challenging it was to get from point A to point B via bike lanes and bike routes that felt safe and efficient. I'm glad we have such great signage, and...

April 18 at 12:56 PMPlanting trees is a tangible action that provides mental and spiritual satisfaction at having done one thing to help climate change. Watching the tree grow over years is very nice to watch.

April 18 at 12:53 PMI learned that there are federal incentives for installing alternative energy sources at residences, like solar. However solar projects can cost $40,000 to install. Making sure we are not wasting energy at home is a good place to start curtailing our carbon footprint.

April 18 at 11:39 AMToday I wrote two letters! I wrote one to my state senator and one to my state representative. I thanked them for the work they've already been doing and encouraged them to do all that they can to protect our forests and enforce current anti-logging logs. Trees are a critical part of our sustainable future! I'm excited about completing this...

March 21 at 2:17 PMI've been the Director of an environmental education nonprofit for over three years now, and every day I still learn something new. The great thing about learning to live more sustainably is that it is a journey that never ends. We can always get better at respecting Mother Earth.

March 20 at 9:11 AMI'm excited that this challenge is going to be the push I've needed to finally sign up for renewable energy credits on my power bill. We can afford them-I've just never made it a priority... :(

March 19 at 12:43 PMI think looking at the whole scope of the problem feels overwhelming. However, finding small ways to plug into the community, decrease my carbon footprint, and increase awareness of our trees and forests gives me hope.
