I have been going about my normal business of writing two blogs on electric aviation.  I research daily, find and share with my readers ideas for new batteries, better aircraft, and associated technologies.  I found there are growing numbers of people and companies jumping into the field, and growing investment in research and realization.  It is an optimistic part of the solution to climate change.

I have noticed nature and the different birds. The only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of trash laying around.

Yes I am in the process of doing my yard and will be using newspaper to lay down first.

    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

Wasting water, energy and land most motivates me to change my behavior regarding food waste because people are leaving Latin American because they don't have water and there are droughts. Fossil fuels are used and trees are cut down for land to make food.

What was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?

I failed to reorganise an air trip from Ireland to Paris. There was a ferry and train option but one of the connections only went twice a day so if I missed it I wouldn't have made the meeting at all. Then my child had a hospital appointment I had to get home on time for. Replacing flying from Ireland is a challenge but fortunately my family are in Britain so I can ferry there. And I don't usually have to fly for work. To offset I sponsored 10 trees with Plant for the Planet

I like getting the exercise and knowing it is not creating more emissions. My town is not well set up for cycling so I am nervous about safety especially when cycling with my children

I have mixed feelings about farmland as farming can be a pressure on climate and water quality

I live rural at the beach. For errands, I can walk. For recreation I can walk or bike. To go shopping I need to drive, and I don't shop that much. I love to walk to the beach. I love to bike on the discovery trail. I love to drive the bay road. If I can walk, I do.
