    We researched and found our local soft plastic recycling drop off point for all of our collected soft plastics. We made small, waste-free meals today.

    10 April: Our Bokashi composting sysytem is amazing. We didn’t throw any food into the rubbish today-instead it will all go back into our garden after fermenting in our kitchen.     9 April: Today we used return to earn to recycle all of our glass, plastic, and aluminium drink containers. We had more food waste today, with croissants we purchased from the bakery on the weekend going unused. However, we had little food waste from today’s meals.

    8 April: Tonight is bin night. Our bin is normally full and tonight it is only half full. That speaks to an amazing week of reducing our food waste, and increasing our recyclables. Yay!

    7 April: We were out all day. While we didn’t have any food waste, we created a lot of recyclable waste with our dinner purchase. We were sure to recycle it all at the end of the day.

    We are so excited to start using our Bokashi compost bin and compost our food scraps to reduce our rubbish and improve the soil in our garden.

    5 April:  Today we had some food waste- half a punnett of strawberries and a capsicum were off. We separated the fruit from the veg in the refrigerator to lengthen the freshness of the food.
