BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

I have definitely learned some new strategies and hope to continue to learn more ways to adjust or completely change how I live to support the planet.

I have shopped at a local women-owned business, Trove, which supports fair-trade fashion. I shared this with a co-worker and will check out some of their Fashion Revolution Week information.

I purchased an electric bike several years ago. Eventually, I switched to a regular bike. The electric bike purchase was motivated by environmental concerns, but it ended up leading me to gain confidence and skills with biking. Now, when possible, I use a combo of bike and bus to get to work.

Just sent TXDOT an email for more and better sidewalks in my neighborhood on the East Side.  A lot of people need these sidewalks to get to the bus.

Start raising chickens and reduce the carbon footprint for producing and transporting eggs.  Use chickens to eat your veggie and fruit scraps, and use their droppings as compost for a garden!
