Not like I had hoped.  Few people have actually join in.  That became discouraging to me.   I however have enjoyed seeing new thoughts and ideas.

The culture of the company needs to change, as there is a tendency to think big is better and thus like big vehicles.  Yes in the business that is sometimes important to tow product and equipment to the site.  So, many meetings could be virtual.

If they could only see the money savings by not having to fill up at the gas station every week.   I really think it will require seeing that the solar vehicles outperform what they are driving.   Yet it seems everyone wants to cruse around in a big truck or suv.    I think being penny wise is smart.   Once it is cool to have a solar powered electric vehicle in their yard everyone will buy one.

One of the biggest examples would be a walking rail from the NE to NW along 26th making it enjoyable to travel across the city from low income residential to the College.

Action Track: Social Justice Advocate for Forest Protection
Higher standards of living are very often dependent on moving our environmental costs elsewhere. What are some specific ways in which the environmental impacts of your own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere?

If our local utility purchased more renewable energy from the grid vs running methane and coal power plants.  That truly shifts it elsewhere since FL is not the ideal spot for wind power.   Yet I should be able to cover a large portion of my energy needs via solar, however utilities have made it difficult for use to benefit from plug in solar sources to reduce our draw from the grid.

Transport Test Drive an Electric Bike
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Private vehicles account for 60% of trips of a mile or less. Do you often drive short distances instead of biking or walking? If so, how might incorporating an electric bike into your lifestyle help you make more climate-friendly choices?

Fun and enjoyment getting around town without the concern of not making it back.  The Electric Bike I just took for a test ride was a blast.  Up and down the hills in the back road area's of Gainesville.  Power and fun,  we have to start making more trip without climbing into the car.  Now if we can just get the city to making the biking more pleasant, with shaded paths protected from traffic.
