globally and locally development of the land surrounding water systems is having a negative impact on our water systems.  Making sure that our trash and chemicals are not getting into our water systems and keeping protected lands protected can help.

Be cognizant of what I'm buying and take the extra few seconds it takes to figure out the best way to recycle or reuse something

I think it is a habit that people don't really think about...culturally meat has become so ingrained in every meal.  But there are so many delicious alternatives and good plant-based protein sources, I think we just need to get the word out and people need to give it a try.

Interesting to see how long foods are really "good " for.. I now know that eggs can last longer than a couple weeks in the fridge!
