Recent updates from this team-
April 22 at 3:21 PMWe planted a 20foot maple tree in our yard. I am looking forward to the spiritual energy it will bring to our home and to have it remind me to slow down and remember the season we are in.
-
April 17 at 7:57 AMDrove to Bellingha, and back in our EV, no gas, no emissions. Awesome!
-
April 10 at 3:38 PMEating off salad plates is an easy step towards reducing portion size and tricks you in to thinking you are getting a giant full plate of food. It also allows for more dishes to be loaded in to the dishwasher to reduce how many loads you run. Double win!
-
April 9 at 11:48 AMI'm struggling a bit to fit in the time to get online to do this on a daily basis, but find that the Eco theme is more in my immediate awareness, than an afterthought, during my day to day choices.
-
April 9 at 11:43 AMPart of this is cultural and a response to big company advertising, part is the ease of access to large supermarkets and the access to large home refrigerators/freezers for storage.
-
April 6 at 6:53 AMUnplugging electronics and appliances not in use. Turning off lights when not in a room.
-
April 5 at 1:36 PMPublic transportation has made it easier for me to get around near my home as well as to work which makes my commute more enjoyable because I do not have to drive in traffic.
-
April 4 at 9:35 AMI can use reusable glass/metal containers, and purchase reusable/washable bags for snacks, sandwich's, etc.
-
April 3 at 1:23 PMI had never heard of "silvopasturing" before but it makes so much sense! In the rural area where I live, this is very possible to accomplish (if we ever decide to get some goats or a cow for our property). I didn't realize this was even a thing and now I am extremely interested!
-
April 3 at 11:09 AMWe installed solar panels in 2015 and have an EV we use for most of our driving. EV is charged from the solar panels.
