I've been reducing and using only recycled paper along with trying to walk daily and eating small portions to reduce food waste.  Been also spreading the word when able about the benefits of using alternative energy choices.

We’re working on reducing plastic and paper consumption in our house, as well as  food waste. All fruit, vegetable and leftover vegetarian food goes to our hens. Anything they wouldn’t choose to eat is composted.

All bills and statements are paperless.
We’v been solar about 18 months, thanks to Suncommon, with a heat pump, electric car and a Tesla wall battery.

There’s so much more we can do, and we’ll keep trying.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

excellent flavor, humane handling of livestock, less transport miles associated with food, knowing the farms I buy from.
