Thanks team-mates and organizers! I really enjoyed participating in the challenge and learning from the 'deeper dive' information in each of the categories. With "Bike-to-Work coming up (in May) incorporating more bike riding will be the next challenge I will be working on. Cheers all!

Have been pretty lackadaisical these past 2 weeks with challenge admin, but Earth Day has me a bit more motivated.  So many events happening this weekend and week as well so keeping it all top of mind.  Hope everyone is staying motivated and faithful as well.  Team mates thanks for all you do and keep it up!

Certainly the largest component of my diet and deforestation is animal protein, which I have cut down significantly in the past 10 years.  However South American sourced soy products are big and  of course palm oil from Indonesia.  Actions: always read labels, look for credible certifications on packaging, keep abreast of alternative names...

2019 will be a watershed year and milestone for plant based alternatives. I was most impressed with the proliferation of plant based meat alternatives and how they are scaling in terms of retail outlets, geographically and financially.  Here are some to name a few Beyond Meat, Impossible, JUST,  Patagonia Provisions (Long Root a Kernza brewed...

I'm busy this week with prep for the talk I'm co-presenting on Reversing Global Warming: Climate Restoration & Regeneration actions for Alameda at Alameda High School tomorrow.
