In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Yes they are readily available at most Lowe's and Home Depot in our area. Target also sells an array of bamboo products and Habitat for Humanity has sustainable alternatives available for consumer purchase.
I'm sad that the Ecochallenge is over! I was really interested in the topics - I learned so much! I learned more about regenerative agriculture, and I had never even heard of silvopasturing before. It also challenged me to step it up in many areas. I definitely felt a shift in my awareness AND my actions. I'd love it if there were a way to continue the challenge!
A round-trip flight from New York City to Los Angeles emits just over 1.5 tons of CO2. What can you do to reduce the number of flights you take per year?
This question generally would not apply to me or my family. The past year has been unusual, flying back and fourt across the country. We generally will fly if it is an emergency only.
In the future, when we fly we will buy carbon offsets.
If you a looking to purchase carbon offsets Google .......Cool Effect it is a crowdfunding platform that provides individuals the opportunity to support carbon emissions reductions by funding carbon-reducing projects around the world. Cool Effect is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Kentfield, California.[2]

I usually only fly in emergencies, so this isn’t entirely relevant to me. Of course, if I need to travel and can possibly find a less impactful alternative I’ll choose it. Today I bought an offset for an upcoming flight.
I've done a lot flying this past year, which means tons and tons of co2 was released into the atmosphere. The eco-challenge encouraged and made real the importance of buying a carbon offset.
