  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

Itt is hard to think how I can incorporate these Rs. We use a lot of paper plates in my house (I don't have a dish washer). Reducing the number of paperplates used per week is one way I can implement "reduce"  and "refuse" in my life. Learning how to repair things may help, especially darning socks and clothing. My mom used to but in today's society we just toss and replace.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

Usually I’d give my son a lot and sometimes he wouldn’t finish his plate and have to throw out the rest. I made a point not to do this and he took seconds. Nothing was thrown out

What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

Parts of the roads on my route need work. There’s a trees roots pushing through on the road causing  the road to become a hazard. I saw acat  on a roofbut  the owner said he did that a lot. Right now the sidewalks are fine, some areas needing fixing
