Transport Research and Advocate for High-Speed Rail
What are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety. What would need to change for you to regularly choose more climate-friendly options?

I prefer transportation methods that allow me to incorporate some exercise into my day: cycling and walking to and from transit, for example. Our commute bonus is a considerable motivator as well.  Transit needs to arrive on time, and run frequently for it to be a feasible option since my schedule can vary.  It also needs to operate reliably despite weather or traffic conditions.  While bus or light rail may take longer than driving, I try to multitask as much as I can, responding to emails, listening to podcasts, or reading a book when commuting. Door-to-door shuttles are especially convenient when it's very cold, raining, or snowing.
