REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Muscle PowerHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Amelia Corona 4/20/2019 2:12 PMI love being able to walk more now that the weather is permitting. I walk to the gym and the farm almost everyday, and it gives to the opportunity to get fresh air and exercise. Also, it is great to see others out and smile/say hi to other while out in the community. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Amelia Corona 4/20/2019 2:10 PMI think people in North America have easier access to meat and a higher quality of meat than people in other parts of the world. We also have the resources to farm and raise livestock, and many people support this industry through the purchasing of meat products either at the local store or for the local farmer. I also believe the dietary trends of North Americans leads to a higher meat consumption. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Amelia Corona 4/15/2019 7:48 AMI noticed that there are many birds starting to come around because it is getting warmer, some trees are finally starting to bud, and the grass is finally starting to turn green. I have enjoyed the exercise and fresh air from walking. It makes me feel happier overall and is always very enjoyable when weather corroborates. I like so listen to music sometimes as well, which makes the walk a little more exciting. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Amelia Corona 4/15/2019 7:46 AMI recycle all items I can, I use a reusable water bottle everyday, I reduce electricity by always turning off my lights, and by doing these, I feel like I have a positive impact on the sustainability of my community -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Try CarpoolingList some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
