Debi Duke 4/08/2019 9:10 AMThe Hudson River Estuary Program and Cornell University Dept. of Natural Resources are working with communities to conserve forests, woodland pools, and the wildlife. You can help by participating in the Amphibian Migrations and Road Crossings Project. A volunteer handbook provides detailed instructions, including safety measures, proper handling of amphibians, and details on collecting data. Volunteers record their observations on the project form and submit data online or mail or email a copy of the form. Since the project started in 2009, more than 370 volunteers have counted at least 20,000 amphibians and observed 20 species.-

The Omega Center for Sustainable Living (OCSL) treats 100% of Omega's wastewater with zero chemicals and net zero energy. Teachers, contractors, architects, elected officials, and anyone who wants to learn more about natural water reclamation, sustainable living, and green building, can tour the OCSL. Just email OCSL@
eOmega.org for more information. And, nonprofits may qualify for free classroom meeting space; email lauraw@eomega.org for details.-
