As a motorcycle commuter, aside from getting over 40 MPG in fuel consumption, I enjoy toll-free use of HOV and HOT lanes on I-66 and I-495 in the DC area.  I save time and money commuting by motorcycle. The cost of operating and maintaining a motorcycle is significantly less than a car.  New electric motorcycles are also offering better performance for real world use; increased range, shorter charging times, and lower cost.
