Electricity Generation Learn More about Wave and Tidal Energy
What did you learn about wave and tidal energy? Were you surprised by the information you found?

That potential is "best between 30º and 60º latitude in both hemispheres,"  I would have thought it extended quite a bit more than that considering how rough the North Sea is, and the places people surf in the southern hemisphere.  btw, the info linked to from Drawdown is outdated. But it did remind me of some decade old installations that I'd forgotten.  Unfortunately, some are no longer in operation.

Transport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

Reducing the emissions in my neighborhood where I walk.  Also, it saves money both for fuel and maintenance.

Geothermal power. Because it is green energy 24/7 and doesn't kill wildlife or involve toxic waste.   And it is everywhere, if you drill deep enough. And they drill to such depths for oil. Why not electricity?    In addition, all along the Texas coast there are reservoirs of hot water accessible via wells already dug and abandoned by the petrochemical industry. Tapping into these could employ  oil field workers, not displace them.   See http://thinkgeoenergy.com

Do you have any personal connections to a farm or farmland? If so, what are they? What feelings are evoked for you when thinking about declining farmland?

Yes, I am very involved in local agriculture and believe regenerative agriculture methods along with ecosystem restoration are the most important solutions to climate change as plants and microbes sequester carbon in the soil, plus effect local weather and reduce impacts of drought and floods.   I noticed that the many regenerative agriculture practices are listed separately in Drawdown.  Put them together and they would rank near the top of the list.
